Who Are We

The Elgin Youth Choir is a unique group of singers from all walks of life.

We are committed to providing an environment where each choir member feels welcome and encouraged to sing.

For us, it’s not all about singing; it’s about creating a passion for music, learning, and sharing our gifts with others. We invite you to join us and celebrate the beauty of singing.

Meet the Conductor

Matthew Bishop

His ensembles have received top ratings at regional contests and festivals.  In addition to teaching, Matthew has guest conducted for local community ensembles, the Illinois Music Education Association’s Regional Elementary Chorus District VII, and presides as the conductor of the Elgin Youth Choir choral ensembles.  Matt serves as music director for Children’s Theater of Elgin/Fox Valley Theater Company.
